The $10,000+ AeroTech Space Challenge!
The $10,000+ AeroTech Space Challenge is a national contest open to individuals, groups and college teams.
The goal of the contest is to fly the first NFPA-legal high-power rocket using no more than 40,960 newton-seconds of combined total impulse to an altitude equal or greater than the international definition of “space” or the “Karman Line”, which is 100 kilometers above the launch elevation (328,080 feet or 62.14 miles), using certified AeroTech high-power rocket motors. The winner of the contest will be awarded a $10,000 cash prize from AeroTech/RCS, along with a yet-undetermined cash amount from a number of other sponsors. We anticipate the total money prize to exceed $15,000 cash.
