The Quest Astra is what we normally see CAP squadrons using
as the ‘first rocket’ – it’s a balsa fin model with parachute
recovery. The Astra has TTW (through the wall) construction
which makes the balsa fin placement a *snap*. Given the age
range (12+) of CAP cadets this kit should require (2) sessions
at around 40 mins each. > View Astra Bulk Packs

If you're in a time or staffing "crunch" then why not consider a 'one session'
model for beginners instead? The Quest Starhawk would be a
‘slam dunk’ in terms of time (1 session @ 40 mins) and ease
(streamer construction with a single piece fin unit). > View Starhawk Bulk Packs |

Either way, we recommend flying both models on an A6-4 motor.
You can safely fly and recover both models on a baseball-sized
field! |

Fly a payload, build in stages or boost a glider!
Available in specially-discounted Bulk Packs for CAP customers! |

For aerospace education organizations such
as the CAP, boost gliders are a great match for reinforcing
basic principles of flight AND rocket science. The Q EZ boost
glider is a great compliment to the Starhawk mentioned above –
the ‘booster’ portion of the kit uses the exact construction of
the Starhawk. The whole kit should take approx. one
hour to assemble – overnight to dry. Before flight, your cadets
will have to “trim’ the glider for correct flight (clay is
included). > View Boost Glider Bulk Packs |

TTW construction and a low-profile fin design make the Quest PayloaderONE an
excellent choice for payload capable-kits. This is a rocket that
screams into the blue sky on a B6-4 motor, recovers on a
parachute and is able to carry a simple 3oz payload to heights
of over 500'. > View PayloaderONE Bulk Packs |

Looking for some extreme performance?
Quest's two-stage Zenith II reaches altitudes of over 1500' and
can carry the same 3oz payload. The first (booster) stage uses
"tumble recovery". The second stage and payload deploy by
parachutes. Definitely a challenging build - but
worth the effort in perfomance! > View
